At the CarolinaRides.com track day on May 21, 2006, we found the limits of the stock LS1 bottom end! Heads, cam, FAST intake and a 200 TNT wet shot was more than the stock rods could handle. Toward the end of the track, the motor let go and set the bottom of the car ablaze. Luckily there were a few guys at the end of the track ready to help with fire extinguishers.
