Tick Performance Polluter Cam
The Polluter: a new LS1 camshaft custom designed by Tick Performance and expert GM Tuner Alvin Anderson of PCMForLess.Big cams make big horsepower in these LS1 cars - no surprise there. When we begin testing our Polluter cam, one factor was a huge surprise: the TORQUE! This cam made 417rwhp & 391rwtq in a regular, every day cam only 2001 Camaro SS with cheap headers and an LS6 intake. No bells, whistles, dyno tricks or crazy expensive parts: the Tick Performance Polluter Cam makes great numbers and drives like a dream. For you nitrous guys: this cam absolutely LOVES to be sprayed on! Check out the bottom graph for our results on a Zex 125hp shot. Our Standard Cam Kit includes the Polluter Camshaft, Patriot Performance Xtreme Dual Springs (rated for .660" lift), titanium retainers, Super 7 Machined locks, spring seats, seals and hardened chromemoly 7.400" pushrods. Our Deluxe Cam Kit includes everything in our standard kit with the addition of an LS2 Timing Chain and a ported/blueprinted LS6 Oil Pump. Cylinder Heads
Trick Flow
During the development stage of the Trick Flow GenX Street/Strip CNC-ported cylinder heads, Trick Flow engineers determined that the valve angles needed to change from 15 to 13.5 degrees to decrease valve shrouding, increase mid-lift airflow, and improve rocker arm-to-valve cover clearance. Testing also proved that relocating the spark plugs in the combustion chambers further enhanced mid-lift airflow and increased the rigidity of the casting for extreme horsepower applications. Furthermore, additional material was added to the rocker arm mounting points for high-rpm valvetrain stability. These fully CNC-ported performance cylinder heads feature 215c(LS1) or 225cc(LS2) intake runners, 80cc exhaust runners, 64cc(LS1) or 65cc(LS2) combustion chambers, 2.040"(LS1) or 2.055"(LS2) intake valves, 1.575 in. exhaust valves, bronze valve guides, and ductile iron intake and exhaust valve seat inserts. These fully assembled heads come equipped with 1.300" dual valve springs (for hydraulic roller camshafts up to 0.600 in. of valve lift), Viton® fluoroelastomer canister-style valve seals, 7 degree machined steel valve locks, and 7 degree titanium retainers.Trick Flow heads require the use of roller rockers and hardened pushrods that are .100” longer than stock. Airflow Research
If you're wanting maximum performance out of your LS1/LS2/LS6, look no further than AFR.Part #1510 offers unmatched flow performance (298cfm at .600" lift) and features 2.020 intake and 1.600 exhaust valves with AFR’s iron ductile interlocking valve seats. With only 205cc port volume (same as stock LS1 head) this is an incredible 70 CFM increase over stock casting, creating unbelievable port velocity and performance. The 205cc cylinder head is ideal for normally aspirated 346ci to 396ci. It is available with 66cc combustion chambers and comes complete with dual valve springs rated to .600" lift. The 225cc cylinder head offers unmatched flow performance and features 2.080 intake and 1.600 exhaust valves with AFR’s iron ductile interlocking valve seats. These 225cc cylinder heads are ideal for normally aspirated 396ci to 427ci. For a wild 346ci the 225 is a good choice, however some low RPM loss of torque might occur. It is available with 62cc, 65cc, and 72cc combustion chambers and all come complete with dual valve springs rated to .650" lift. Structural features like Air Flow Research’s trademark 3/4” thick head deck (a must for blown and nitrous applications), reinforced rocker stud bosses, and thick wall runners provide unparalleled durability. An exclusive new modern combustion chamber design with double quench pad area helps the LS1 generate huge low and mid lift airflow numbers.

One of the most commonly overlooked, yet most crucial components in the valvetrain? The pushrod.Texas Speed's pushrods are made from heat treated chromemoly steel for excellent strength for your high horsepower motor, or great performance in your stockish engine. Highly recommended during any camswap, these hardened pushrods will cure your LS1 of the common problem of bending those weak stock units. Choose your length below. 7.400" is the stock length.

Pushrod Length Checker
Proper pushrod length is critical when putting together an optimal setup. Because they're designed like a micrometer, you insert Comp Cam's Pushrod Length Checker in place of a pushrod, and unscrew it until the correct length and geometry is achieved. You then read the height right from the etched markings on the side of the tool, with each revolution equal to .050". This tool makes it less expensive and much faster than any other method used for this critical calculation. Adjustable from 6.800" to 7.800" in .050" increments.

Rocker Arms
Harland Sharp
Harland Sharp's bolt on, non adjustable rockers are one of the most trusted rocker sets in the industry. They fit under your stock valve covers without modification, and their needle bearing full roller fulcrum assembly reduces friction and wear to enhance engine performance. Another nice feature is that these rockers use a .250 diameter shaft, tying two rockers together to eliminate twisting on the valve.
